Palestinian Journalist Abu Bakr Abed Expresses Solidarity with Kashmiris, Calls for Protection of Their Rights Gaza Palestinian journalist Abu Bakr Abed from Gaza has expressed solidarity with the people of Pakistan-administered Kashmir in a special message, saying that the situation they are facing reminds him of the hardships he and his family have endured in Gaza. In his message Abed said he has witnessed and lived through the past 19 months of devastation in Gaza which is why he deeply understands the suffering and struggles of the Kashmiri people. He described the conditions they are facing as deeply distressing and said that humanity should never accept such circumstances. He stated that the people of Kashmir deserve freedom dignity and fundamental human rights just like any other people in the world. He urged all relevant parties to ensure the safety of Kashmiri lives, listen to their voices, and address their legitimate demands. Abed added that some of the images and videos emerging from Pakistan-administered Kashmir reminded him of the scenes he witnessed in Gaza which he described as heartbreaking. He expressed hope that the Government of Pakistan and all relevant stakeholders would seriously listen to the concerns of the Kashmiri people pay attention to the voices of peaceful protesters and seek a peaceful resolution through dialogue and negotiations. Concluding his message the Palestinian journalist reiterated his love and solidarity with the people of Kashmir praying that they may be blessed with peace prosperity and a life of dignity and that the days ahead will be better than those they have endured. #alnoornews
