Sardar Umar Nazir Sardar Umar Nazir a core committee member of the now banned Joint Public Action Committee has rejected the allegations made by the government and questioned why the authorities held negotiations with the committee for the past three years if they considered it a terrorist organization. He asked why the committee's demands were accepted and agreements were signed if it was viewed as a security threat. The government however maintains that action against the committee was taken in light of security concerns and alleged activities that emerged later.
