SSP Khawar Ali Shaukat expressed concern over the activities of the Public Action Committee stating that the public had been misled and incited against the state while recent violent incidents allegedly point to the committee's agenda. He said that damaging public property and allegedly using women and children during the unrest was regrettable. According to him the Public Action Committee's objective is to paralyze state institutions and disrupt public order. Khawar Ali Shaukat said the state is exercising restraint, but this should not be mistaken for weakness.
