Muzaffarabad Acting President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Latif Akbar paid tribute to the people of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir for their ongoing struggle and immense sacrifices in pursuit of their right to self-determination. He said that the people of Indian-administered Kashmir continue to fight against Indian rule and are enduring severe hardships and imprisonment for the cause of freedom. He added that a just and lasting resolution of the Kashmir dispute is essential for ensuring permanent peace and stability across the region. The Acting President thanked Pakistan for its consistent and unwavering support for the Kashmiri people stating that Kashmiris will never forget Pakistan's firm stance and cooperation. He said Pakistan has effectively highlighted the Kashmir issue at every international forum and that the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people will not go in vain. Chaudhry Latif Akbar also paid tribute to the services and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces in defending the country. He congratulated Field Marshal Asim Munir saying the armed forces had delivered a strong and decisive response to Indian aggression.
